Proof Strategies (Environics Communications) Announces It Will Give $20K in Agency Time to DC Rape Crisis Center and Active Minds for #GivingTuesday
Second year award-winning agency contributes work to DC community
WASHINGTON, DC – November 28, 2017. Proof Strategies (formerly Environics Communications) in Washington, DC, announced today that in honor of Giving Tuesday, it will donate $20,000 of pro-bono communications work to two Washington-area non-profits: the DC Rape Crisis Center and Active Minds. In 2016, the agency awarded the work to the Mathematical Association of America and the Animal Welfare Institute.
This year, each member of the Proof Strategies team identified a non-profit for which they would like to work. After an internal pitch contest, two outstanding organizations were chosen as having a measurable impact on the DC community and beyond.
The DC Rape Crisis Center is the designated State Sexual Assault Coalition for the District of Columbia providing survivor-centered advocacy through therapeutic services, training and technical assistance, community education, and public policy initiatives. Proof will be supporting DCRCC with a targeted earned and digital media campaign to support their #MeToo Twitter chat and end of year campaign to raise $100,000 to take 100 people off their waiting list.
Based in Washington, DC, Active Minds is the nation’s premier nonprofit organization supporting mental health awareness and education for students. Through award-winning programs and services, Active Minds is empowering a new generation to speak openly and act purposively to change the conversation about mental health for everyone.
